A lot of old age people are left alone at home. There are many younger generations who do not care about their parents and leave alone and live their amazing life.

Why is there alot of problems in these houses? Why there are fights in these house, where these grownups throw their parents out of

There are alot of questions regarding to this situations but who cares? This is why Helpage India is creating awareness to the younger generations so that they can take care of these old aged people

Old age is the serenity of the age. It is like they are born again.

A quote from ― Jarod Kintz, This Book Title is Invisible “Death is coming—but hopefully not before old age, decrepitude, and senility.”

It was registered in Delhi. Became autonomous as financial support ceased from UK. Soon after, in July, the Society was awarded Certificates of Exemption under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, thus indicating general confidence in the Society’s affairs.

Help age is trying to help the aged so that they can confidently live their life.

Upholding the Rights of the Aged

HelpAge India is the leading advocate for Older People's rights. We speak up for India's 100 million (current estimate) grey population to help them live with dignity, independence & self-fulfilment.

Their role is that of an enabler between two groups of people.

  • Development organisations and individuals working at grassroots-level with marginalised Elders, their families and communities.
  • People like you, coming together from all walks of life who believe in the rights of the Aged

Why do the Aged need Help?

There are 100 m (current estimate) older people in India. We advocate with national & local government to bring about policy that is beneficial to the elderly. Make the society aware of issues concerning the aged and promote better understanding of them. Help the elderly be aware of their rights and provide access to them.

Their main objective is that

  • Fosters the welfare of the aged in India especially the needy aged
  • Raises funds for projects which assist the elderly irrespective of cast or creed
  • Creates in the younger generation and in society an awareness about the problems of the elderly in India today

“The old are in a second childhood.”
