Changing
people, changing nation.
The political
sphere highly depends on the participation of the citizen of the country which
they are serving. So the political party makes the maximum effort to influence
the people in their favor to get their support. None of the political party can
rise high without the ladder which is built by the common people. Every rung of
the ladder is based on the hopes of the people which is promised by the leader
of the party. Failure to which can lead to disappointment and resent towards
the leader. Which in turn might lead the citizens to committing an act of
terrorism against the representative.
Political participation varies from attending the rally to voting and
even sending a letter to the association.

In a democratic
country like India; which is a developing country, having an adult literacy
rate of 74.04%, people are slowly understanding the role of the government in
shaping the future of the country as well as theirs. Hence, the citizen of
India are no more compromising with the present situation and are ready to
politically participate by bringing about a wave of change to bring down the
level of corruption in our country. With scams like 2G Spectrum Scam
approximately amounting to INR 176000 crore in the year 2010, Uttar Pradesh
NRHM Scam amounting to INR 10000 crore in the year 2012, Indian Coal Allocation
Scam amounting to INR 185591.34 in the year 2012etc. involving politicians like
Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav , A Raja, Auditor General of India etc., has made people demand the country to put
these politicians behind the bars. An non-compromising attitude has erupted
among the citizen of our country which is coerced by the politicians
itself!

With sky-rocketing
prices, widespread joblessness, booming speculative activities, people have
lost its faith in BJP( Bhatiya Janta Party) and Congress. When asked to student
who was going to vote for the very first time about how he was going to filter
down among all the parties to only one, the reply was not surprising. He said
that anything except BJP and Congress. People are seeking an alternative to
these two parties. Hence, people of India started to find all its answers in a
new party- AAP ( Aam Aadmi Party or Common Man's Party) which was formed more
than a year ago by anti-corruption leaders.

against corruption.
The rise of AAP
has been a result of frustration at India's transformation as one of the most
corrupted countries in the world. In December 2013, the entire political
spectrum was shocked as AAP won 28 of 70 seats in the legislature for Delhi.
With the populist steps taken by Kejeriwal like drinking water supply,
electricity tariff etc. contributed to the rise in expectations of common
people. But with Kejeriwal's Dharna in Delhi on the question of control over
Delhi's police has raised a serious question mark among the ruling classes and
elite over the sustaining ability of AAP among the other governing parties. Even though AAP
has been successful in catching peoples negative vote against the governing
political parties yet its lack of ideological-political program can result in a
dangerous situation where large number
of youth and hopeful citizens attracted to politics once again loosing faith
and going into despair.
